The Amazing Spiderman

There are certain times that I just NEED to make an amigurumi. This was the case. It’s like my fingers itched to make it. So I did.

Besides, I had to do one because I have a custom order for it and I have been putting it off way too long so when inspiration hit I took full advantage!

Here he is:

Ron Weasley!!!

Finally!!! I was able to get the exact yarn color for Ron Weasley hair, I started him a little more than a month ago as we were returning from that fabulous vacation, and then I got stuck because my quality department (aka my daughter) didn’t like any of my orange yarn, so yesterday I finally found it and was able to make that awesome mane for him.

Truth be told, it was totally worth it. I LOVED the final result, and the hair! This time I did it differently, section by section; altough I wouldn’t use this on dolls that are meant to be played with because if you pull one section up you still can see the “bald” spots, which are still orange, but even so. I always hated it when I was playing with my dolls as a kid and then when I would move them the bald spots appeared. Ugh.

So enough of my babbling. I give you Ron Weasley!!!!!!:

Harry Potter on Premiere Day!

Ok, so here are the last pics of the Harry Potter saga. In fact, there are more (over at flickr), but since I didn’t get organized at this point I can’t tell for sure which ones I posted and which I didn’t, and I am too lazy to be looking it up (trying to be honest here)

Besides, I have been working on Ron and Hermione, too bad that they weren’t around for the pics, that would’ve been great, don’t you think??  Anyways, I hope I have a little surprise for you next week, ok??

a whole set of knitting men

Now that they were working on their new Larry Crown, Tom Hanks pulled a practical joke on costar Julia Roberts.

She has said in many ocasions that she likes to sew and to knit, as she finds knitting a social hobby since she can talk and interact with people while doing it, as opposed to reading a book, which makes it a nice hobby for in between takes when she's working.

So Tom Hanks asked everyone in the set (mostly men) that they knit -or pretend to- when she walked into the set. The result is pretty great, can you imagine getting into a room and see 65 people all knitting??

That is why I love Tom Hanks! It has to be great to work with him.
